"When I decide to write anything, I get caught up in my in security despite the prior accolades. I think, uh, uh, now they will know I am a charlatan that really cannot write and write really well. I am almost undone, then I pull out a new yellow pad and as I approach the clean page, I think of blessed I am. The ship of my life my or may not be sailing on calm and amiable seas. The challenging days of my existence may or may not be bright, and promising. Stormy or sunny days, glorious or being pessimistic, there is always tomorrow.Today I am blessed."
-Maya Angelou
I bought a new book yesterday at Borders, Letter to My Daughter by Maya Angelou. It's an amazing book of life lessons and a quick read- if you're someone who reads at a fast pace. I'll be finished with it today, and I encourage young women and women to read it.
If I am so blessed to have a daughter of my own someday, I will give her this book at her high school graduation.
